My prediction is that a glow stick is made out of the element Argon. I think this because I did a project on Argon before. It said Agon was used to make glow sticks and other things like lasers. Even though Argon can be used to make glow sticks, it's not the primary elements used. I also think it is made out of Neon, because Neon is another element that glows. I think Neon is used to make glow sticks bacause the theory behind neon signs happened when they observed a faint glow in a mercury barometer tube when the tube was shaken.
My Substance
My Substance is a glow stick. Glowsticks are used by trick-or-treaters, divers, campers, and for decoration and fun.
A glow stick is a plastic tube with a glass vial inside of it. When you bend the plastic vial, the glass vial inside breaks, and two solutions flow together causing a chemical that creates the glow. The glow stick come in a variety of colors, this is a result of the fluorescent dyes in the stick. As you can see below: Example one- shows how the chemical reaction makes glow sticks work. Example two- shows the different colors of fluorescent dyes in glow sticks. Example three- shows a glowing kitten, "This is a scientific experiment to cure HIV/AIDS.

'Green-Glowing' Cats May Help to Fight Against HIV/AIDS
US scientists have developed a strain of green-glowing cats with cells that resist infection from a virus that causes feline AIDS, a finding that may help prevent the disease in cats and advance AIDS research in people.
